Happy Friday! And c'mon . . . you had to have been expecting another Old Navy item to be featured today ;) I'm totally in love with this sweater. They also sell it in blue with a red heart . . . I might have to go back and get it.
Anyway, I have to share a story of compliments with you this morning. It's really for the laugh at the end because although I appreciate the kind words of strangers, I feel weird sharing them on the blogosphere like some narcissistic blog chick. So here goes . . . in the span of my 5-7 minutes at Starbucks this morning I was told the following in this order:
1. "I just have to tell you, you are one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen . . ." - female Starbucks barista (and no, she's not a lesbian . . . so it wasn't creepy . . . not that I have anything against lesbians or their compliments . . .)
2. "I love your sweater! Did you get it at J. Crew?" - female Starbucks customer (don't worry, I let her in on my Old Navy secret ;)
3. - "Do you play football?!" - random dude walking on the street
- "Ummm . . . what?" - me
- "You've got broad shoulders!" - random dude walking on the street
- "Oh gee . . . thanks?" - me
- "No, no, I mean it looks really good!" - random dude walking on the street
- This is the part where I awkwardly laughed and ran-walked across the street to escape into
my office building . . .
So today I may or may not look like a football linebacker with a pretty face, wearing a nice sweater . . . .
