Color Blocking + A Colorful Change

Top: Anthropologie; Skirt: Express; Belt: NastyGal;
Shoes: Enzo Angiolini; Necklace: Francesca's;
Bracelet: Juicy Couture; Nails: Susie by Julep

Trench: Gap; Scarf: Gifted; Studs: Swarovski, Nordstrom

This outfit was kind of an accident. After I looked in the mirror, I not only loved it but had the urge to call it mermaid color blocking. The aqua and bright green remind me of my most favorite Disney princess of all time (yes, I'm 25 and still in love with all things Disney. Most especially the princesses and more specifically, Ariel). Anyway, I'm trying to bring more color to this gray-loving city. I could not be more thrilled to be flying home to Cali this weekend- bring on the sun!

Also, I am SO SO EXCITED to introduce to you the new name (and style) of 'Pretty in Pink'!

Changes will be installed soon, but more importantly- whaddaya think?!

Mustard & A Makeover

Tank: J. Crew; Blazer: The Limited; Skinny Minnie Pant: J. Crew;
Flats: Tory Burch; Necklace: F21; Ring: JewelMint; Bangle: Alexis Bittar;
Sunglasses: Versace; Nails: Susie by Julep

So, not only do I love mustard as a condiment, but I also love it as a color. More like stone ground mustard though rather than French's (though, I do love a sunshiney yellow on my nails or paired with white pants). I've been in the market for a mustard sweater for ages and still haven't found one I adore. Got any ideas?

In perhaps more exciting news, this blog is getting a major makeover courtesy of this lil' lady over here!
I contacted her about a blog re-design and she got back to me in about 10 minutes - talk about service! I can't wait for Danielle to help me achieve that chic-blog look, complete with navigation bars and pretty buttons. Here's what you can anticipate seeing:
1. New blog name!
2. Page header for easier blog viewing
3. My very own blog button!
4. Prettier colors and cleaner lines

Thanks for being such loyal followers!
I'm so excited to be sharing these changes with you!

Mint Chocolate Chip Apartment

Remember my post about how I was going to re-decorate my apartment? Welp, the remodel is officially in full swing! My chocolate leather saddle seat barstools arrived two weekends ago and N helped me put them together while I cooked him some orange chicken (don't worry- I'm not that domestic. It was the pre-made frozen kind from Trader Joe's that we both love. The only requirement is sticking the damn pieces in the oven and heating up the sauce via microwave.) Anyway, the black and white photos look smashing on the walls and I just ordered that fantastic furniture item that I told you about on Etsy. Behold . . . the piece de resistance of my new living room . . .

It even has storage space!:
It should arrive in 4 weeks but maybe even sooner! I am going to use it as my TV stand. If you want your own (the artist does all types of cabinet work in different washes, stains, and sizes) go to usacreations. When I told N that I had finally splurged on this item, he said, "you're going to have a mint-chocolate-chip apartment!" due to the fact that there is an overwhelming theme of turquoise and brown going on in every room. N also thought that this was my dad's favorite type of ice cream, which I am still not so sure about. If he's right then I'll be muy impressed!

Anyway, I'll be sure to take photos once the living room is complete :) It's rainy and gloomy here in Seattle, so I hope all my Californias are soaking up the sunshine for me!
