I actually ventured out to the mall on black Friday with my grandma a few weeks ago to do some Christmas shopping while in Cali. It was the only real time we had to go so the only appropriate (and obvious) outfit choice comprised of black. So when I came out to the living room before leaving and my brother said, "who died" I knew I had made the right call ;) BTW this dress is everything and applicable for nearly every season- I suggest you invest in one ASAP via your local Nordstrom.

I scored this unique peplum top on major sale at Anthro recently ($25!) and I am in love. It's a classic crisp white button-up with a twist and appropriate for really any season. I had a work event following my usual workday a few weeks ago so this pairing was the perfect mix of young and fun yet professional ;) Go rifle through your local Anthro now!

Last weekend, I surprised N with a short and sweet trip to Vegas for his 30th. We partied (and dressed) like rockstars . . . here's what I wore on night one :)

I kind of feel like an uber modern flight stewardess in this outfit, however when I get over that feeling, I completely dig it. This skirt is easily one of my favorite staple pieces and pretty much goes with everything (as is evidenced when paired with my slouchy tee). This is also the first time I've debuted this ultra fab DVF scarf since I thrifted it way back when! I still can't believe I scored it in mint condition for $2.00 . . . I think another thrifting adventure is in my future!

I've been wanting to try this combination for a while- mixing a chunky knit with tight leather. I didn't really have an ideal knit, however I think this sweater somewhat does the trick. It maintains a bit of slouch, which I was going for, and serves as a soft contrast to the otherwise stark leather panels on this skirt. DIG IT!
