it's quite creepy that my left arm in the photo above is like phantom-ing into the wall . . . . SO, on Sunday my dear friend, K, had her bridal shower and above is what I wore. It was a delightful affair filled with pink champagne and cupcakes (which unfortunately turned my teeth and tongue blue due to to-die-for deep blue frosting). She registered for some fab items- mostly earth tones with pops of color (such as these margarita glasses). There is a couples shower for her and her man this coming weekend, and I can't wait to fill you in on what I got them!

Anyway, as I promised yesterday, I have to tell you about our wonderful experience Saturday night! We had dinner at Manhattan, which is a relatively new steakhouse that opened in an area of our neighborhood that we never venture to. It was phenom! Then we teetered next door for after-dinner cocktails at La Spiga. N chatted with the owner about his Italian heritage while the incredible bar manager/tender, Niles Peacock (no joke. that is his name. so jelly!) created delectable concoctions that made us all swoon. He fed us mini-shots of various drinks that he wanted us to try. One included a pink, vodka-based beverage that reminded us of summer. He said if we could come up with a name for the drink, and the owner enjoyed the taste of the cocktail then he would put it on the menu. Well, not only did the owner love the cocktail, he loved the name! Which is . . . drumroll please. . . .

(And I won't translate it for you, so you have to look it up yourself!
Everyone needs a little Italian in their lives)
Beautiful, no?! It will be on the bar menu this weekend :) If you live in Seattle, go chat with Niles and try our cocktail . . . you won't regret it!
PS: Check out webstagram for photos from Manhattan and La Spiga!
You look stunning in that maxi skirt! How fun that you guys got to name a drink!
