Apologies for the lack of consistent blog posts. I am more or less dying of exhaustion at the moment. N and I flew home on Sunday from my bff's fabulous wedding weekend, and we have proceeded to go non-stop since then. Read: we had a Cystic Fibrosis Seahawks Dinner at The Met on Monday evening, then last night we went to the Jimmy Buffett concert. Above are photos of the outfit I wore to the concert last night . . . no, I did not wear this to work today. I was this close to calling in sick to work this morning (because I am on the cusp of getting ill) . . . but then I didn't. And I am suffering the consequences. Anyway, in the coming days I'm hoping to come back to life (along with my blog posts), until then- you'll just have to suffer with me :)

If you live in Seattle, this message is for you: HOW INCREDIBLE WAS THE WEATHER THIS WEEKEND?! Oh man, we certainly got a taste of summer!  

Anyway, I hope you all had a most fantastic weekend. Mine was simply splendid. The bar we went to after the Ms game on Friday had an incredible live cover band called The Herding Cats that played all the classics (Journey anyone?). On Saturday N and I took advantage of the beach weather and headed over to Alki to go longboarding (my first time! now I'm addicted and in the market for a board of my own), lunch in the sun, and eat ice cream with our toes in the sand. Yesterday, we went to the Ms game to watch them cinch the series win against the A's while sitting 1st row on the 3rd baseline. We celebrated by walking from the stadium to Pike Place and hit the rooftop deck of the Hard Rock for some adult beverages and chicken tenders.

Can I play the weekend on repeat please?! Because now it's raining . . . and Monday. Bleh :(

Video Girl: Macklemore + Me Part II

Today I woke up sick, stuffy, and coughy. I'm at work but not loving it. As a result, today's outfit is nothing to write home about (read: jeans, Sperry boat shoes, and bulky scarf- definite benefits to working in a "casual" law firm). So I'm not doing an outfit post today. Instead, I have some much more exciting news.

Remember way back when I posted about the music video I was in, Macklemore + Me? Well, yesterday Mr. Haggerty himself revealed his latest single 'Victory Lap,' along with the music video. And I'll be damned, yours truly was in it! Clips from the 'And We Danced' video were featured about halfway through (minute 2:13). Take a looksie (and a listen)!

Video Girl: Macklemore + Me

Random- but I was in a music video.

A quite popular music video, as it turns out, given that it was on the front page of YouTube just yesterday. One of N and my's favorite local rappers was shooting a video for his hilarious song, 'And We Danced.' His name is Ben Haggerty but he goes by Macklemore and produces with a student from UW named Ryan Lewis. They have collaborated to make some fantastic songs with chills-running-up-your-spine lyrics. N and I saw a posting on Facebook about a month ago asking for applications from people who were interested to participate. So we sent in our info and photos and I guess they liked us because I was in the hot tub scene all throughout the video and N was filmed doing The Worm. We're kinda a big deal ;)

I am in the purple swimsuit with gold aviators,

consistently on the right-hand side of Macklemore in the hot tub;

N is in a yellow jersey top with sunglasses and an American bandana;

Usually on the right-hand side of the screen.

It's 80s themed- we had to rock it.
