Double Cuffed Double Denim

Chambray: Forever 21; Bandeau: Free People; Skinny Denim: 7 For All Mankind;
Booties: BCBG; Necklace: J. Crew; Bangles: F21, Nordstrom, Juicy Couture

Never thought I'd do it. But I did. The Canadian Tuxedo people . . . albeit, it's a more modern and updated version but still, denim on denim. I still don't really know how I feel about it. And I feel like everyone in Starbucks was gawking at me this morning. Whatever. It's Friday and raining . . . which is sad because the new ferris wheel opens today down at the waterfront and even though they are enclosed capsules and have heating capabilities, I feel like it's not very fun to premier a ferris wheel when it's raining :( Speaking of premiers, N and I are going to see Ted tonight which I am excited about because I love teddy bears and N loves Mila- so everybody wins. Happy weekending!

Bold Stripes + Bit of Sparkle + Wacoal Event

Top: J. Crew; Skirt: Francesca's Collections; Flats: Via Spiga;
Bangles: F21, Nordstrom, Alexis Bittar; Sunglasses: Electric

Lara and I had such fun at the Wacoal event last night! Aside from the healthy pours of wine and delectable appetizers (including garlic cheese spread and prosciutto - NOM!), I finally got to meet a few of my fellow Seattle Style Bloggers! Lindsay of Lindsay Living was there, as well as Miss Bella Q of The Citizen Rosebud, who I will be doing a photoshoot for on Sunday with her vintage clothing line. Quick shout-out to these two: You guys are fabulous and I look forward to planning our next get together along with lots of wine and cheese :)

Here are a few snapshots from the event: Apologies: if you follow me on Instagram, you have seen most of these already ;)

Most Magical

Top: Bellatrix; Skirt: J. Crew; Shoes: Zara;
Bangles: Alexis Bittar, Juicy Couture; Earrings: J. Crew

Aviators: Ray-Ban; Bag: LV

I fell in love with this blouse the moment I saw it. It is every grown-up Disney princess girl's dream. If you look closely, you'll see images of intricate carriages, men kissing women's hands on bended knee, little woodland creatures, and tall candlesticks. It is the epitome of Disney paraphernalia for the grown-up without being childish. J'ADORE! Okay, enough about the blouse . . .

Please ignore the hideous bruises happening all over my legs. Apparently proper deadlift technique requires you to pull the bar almost along the length of your leg as you stand-up, thus amounting to a both a greater deadlift form and extra black and blues amongst the shin area. Lovely.

This evening, The Social Narcissist (aka: Lara) and I are headed to a private event hosted by Wacoal where there will be both free wine and free bras. We are excited about both (maybe more about the wine though?). I'll be sure to write about the event tomorrow, however you will undoubtedly be able to follow along via Instagram. Ciao, Ciao!

Happy Tuesday! I have nothing fun to report aside from the fact that Crossfit is still kicking my a$$. Oh- and I get to attend a fun event tomorrow! Which I will share details of then . . . so until that time, just enjoy my blue pants and black blazer :) XO

Pink Pants + Paisley

Top: Gifted; Pants: Kensie; Jacket: Burberry; Flats: Me Too;
Bangles: Alexis Bittar, Juicy Couture, Nordstrom, F21

Up close and personal with paisley prints and patent flats

This top arrived with Mama Bigley this past weekend when she came to visit. Such fun, yes?! It's the perfect match for my pink pants. We had a mother-daughter weekend filled with lots of wine, good food, and laughter. My sister and I's closest friend, Britt, and her mom C (Mama Bigley's BFF) showed up for a frollick around my little city, along with Bum and Mama Biggs. We had a fabulous time, and if you follow me on Instagram then you definitely witnessed some of the festivities ;) Hope you had a great one!

Sunny Snapshots

Hello chickadees! I thought I'd take the opportunity to share some sunny snapshots from my weekend in CA to celebrate Bum's amazingness a few weekends back.
Especially since it is total June gloom here and raining :(

Enjoy!

Subtle Sparkle

Tank: J. Crew; Sweater: Halogen, Skirt: Anthropologie;
Sandals: Steve Madden; Bangles: Nordstrom, F21, Juicy Couture

Thought I'd add a little sparkle to brighten up today's otherwise "normal" outfit with this J. Crew tank. I might have to buy it in every color- I love it so! I can't really move today due to Crossfitting yesterday . . . I'm expecting to be this way for a while . . . but that's okay. At least I can kick butt and be sore in my new favorite Crossfitting kicks!:

Pink Lemonade

Top: J. Crew; Skirt: J. Crew; Belt: Francesca's; Shoes: Michael Kors;
Bangles: Gifted, Alexis Bittar, Juicy Couture

Happy First OFFICIAL Day Of Summer! Seattle has outdone itself today with a bright sunny morning and the perfect amount of breeze :) It's supposed to hit 75 later today. Can I get a "hip hip hurray!" please?! I'm really glad I saved this outfit for a sunny day too because it reminds me of pink lemonade . . . and what does pink lemonade remind you of? Answer: summer. And summer is finally upon us! I just might have to go buy myself a pink lemonade at lunch today because I'm just in that kind of mood (quick turnaround from Monday, eh?). Quick Note: The Pink Door has the best pink lemonade! The catch? (or in my case, the best part) it's an adult beverage due to the alcohol content. I highly recommend it if you manage to get to SeaTown. Enjoy one on the patio for sure.

On a side note, this pencil skirt is helping me with my minimal movement today. I am SUPER sore from a 7-minute workout yesterday. You heard me. 7 MINUTES. Why was it 7 minutes, you ask? Oh- because it was at a Crossfit gym. And we had to do as many circuits of push-ups, kettle bell dead-lifts, and wall balls as we could within the given time-frame of 7 minutes. And I am pretty much as sore as I was 3 days after the Mud Run. So embarrassing. But here's the good news: N and I both loved it, so we're signing up and getting buff. Special shout-out to Bum who is becoming a Certified Crossfit trainer on the 30th! I don't know how you do it but I'm so proud and excited to brag about you to all my friends :) xo

When All Else Fails . . .

Tank: Eight-Sixty; Denim: 7 For All Mankind; Blazer: Gifted (NastyGal);
Shoes: Zara; Arm Party: F21, Nordstrom, Alexis Bittar, Gifted

"When All Else Fails . . . Look Cute."

I don't know where this quote originated or who said it but quite frankly, it is in effect today on this blog. I worked a 14.5 hour workday yesterday . . . meaning that I was at work until 12:30 a.m. this morning, in bed by 1 a.m., and up by 6:30 a.m. to be back at work by 8 a.m. Absolute horror I tell you. It's probably a good thing that I write this blog, for it is what motivated me to actually get dressed this morning and deterred me from showing up to the office in sweats and a hoodie (ok, not really. But still. I probably would have come close!) So thanks for reading and hearing my sob story about how I got no sleep. All I want to do now is sit on the couch with Jubie while eating ice cream and wearing N's college sweatpants.

Knock Knock

Top: J. Crew; Minnie Pant: J. Crew; Belt: Unknown; Shoes: Dolce Vita;
Necklace: J. Crew; Bangles: Alexis Bittar, Nordstrom; Clutch: Rebecca Minkoff

Here's a super lame joke to christen my brand-new orange pants:

- Knock, Knock
- Who's There?
- Orange.
- Orange, Who?
- Orange You Glad to See Me?!

This is coming from the desk of a girl who worked overtime on Friday, spent 6 hours at work yesterday, and will probably be living at her desk until midnight this evening devouring homemade rice krispie treats to keep from crying due to mad stress. Oh, and who also spent $200 too much at Target . . .

Hope to have my life back tomorrow. I also hope to be much more chipper tomorrow as well :) Besos!

SUN, SUN, SUUUUUUN! So excited for this sunshine today :) Being home in CA for the past two weekends has definitely made me realize how much I took for granted waking up to a healthy yellow glow outside while living there. I'd by lying if I said I didn't miss it. However, on the flip side, waking up to it here in Seattle is such a treat since we don't get it as much as good ol' Cali ;) That being said, I am looking forward to being outside as much as possible this weekend! N is off to Cd'A to visit with his family for Father's Day. Since I've essentially met my Cali quota this month, I'm sticking around here to have a girls weekend with Miss M, who's hubby is still in NY for work. We plan to walk her adorable bulldog Bookey around Greenlake, indulge in some day drinking, and simply see where the weekend takes us . . . which sometimes make for the best kind of weekends :)

Hope you have something fabulous planned!
