Seattle to San Josie

Leather Jacket: Kenneth Cole; Tank: Eight Sixty;
Jeans: Seven for All Mankind; Booties: Vince Camuto;
Bag: LV

Sunglasses: Versace; Sweater: Halogen;
Bangle: Alexis Bittar; Bangles: Nordstrom

I love this jet-setting look. I especially love that I was able to accomplish this fantastic bun on my first try (however I did forgo breakfast but that's why Sbux exists). Anyway, today I am muy excited because I am off to San Jose/San Fran for the weekend! It will be a little GU Reunion with lots of my favorite peeps! I'll also get to see my co-worker, A, who left me due to her hubby's relocation to San Fran and my Twinie Twin, Jo! N will be in Vegas for the weekend with some of his frat brothers and I only hope he comes back in one piece (and more or less alive)!

Anyway, school and work have been kicking my butt this week, but not as bad as last week in which I was quite literally drowning in stress. I'm still living off dinners of Mojo bars and string cheese because my class is awkwardly at 6 p.m. and really, I don't want to become a senior citizen and start eating meals at 5. Nor do I want to become the girl that sits in front of me in class with a big tub of beet salad and pretezel chips with hummus and weird looking white sauce (ICK). So I kind of starve myself and by the time I get home, I'm too tired to eat anyway ::sigh::

I'm hungry now though so I must run. Toodles!

Sunday Semi-Fun Day

Originally I was going to call this post 'Sunday No Fun Day,' but then I decided that I actually did have a liiiiiittle bit of fun, so I didn't want to lie to ya'll.

Something crazy has happened. Like crazy as in 'I'm not sure who I have become' crazy. Yesterday I was watching the Seahawks game by myself (Ummm hello?! By myself?! This is clearly CRAZY THING #1) while doing Paralegal Cert homework (Aren't I a good student?!). I threw on my jersey (CRAZY THING #2) because I clearly felt that some super-human, sports-god would look down upon my fan-dome as totally worthy of a Hawks win (CRAZY THING #3). Well, the sports-god HATED me because the Hawks played like stupid and there were some pretty lame calls against us and we lost to the Browns 3 to 6 (I mean, COME ON! 3 to 6?! Amateurs....)

Anyway, the worst part about this was that I actually became emotionally affected by the loss. Like I wanted to cry (CRAZY THING #4) but instead just cracked open a few SnowCaps and craved fried chicken. How gross is that? The princess in me must take a hiatus on Sundays because that was simply ridiculous. However, when N came back from running errands he totally brought me the best fried chicken ever and said, "Welcome to becoming a Seattle sports fan." So then we drank Dr. Peppers and watched Bridesmaids.

But the Hawks loss still makes my blood boil and I get all pissy just thinking about it. SERIOUSLY?! Who am I? I have a feeling my Sundays will continue to consist of the following:

Back 2 Skool

Oh, what? You didn't know I went back to school? Have you not noticed my declining activity on Facebook and Blogger alike?! It's totally buggers (I don't know why I said that. I'm sleep-deprived and apparently think I'm British). Anyway, YES. I went back to school (PS: Don't you like the title of this post? It's like what you wrote in secret notes to your friends in 3rd grade); I decided to be even MORE of a grown-up (ha) and educate myself further so I can be a greater asset to the legal community (aka: Make Mo Monaaaayyyyy!). So I am taking the Paralegal Certification class through The University of Washington, which N says makes me a husky but I say no-way-jose, Bulldogs foreva!

So on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights I take a 30-minute public transportation ride (during which I am convinced the bus driver is trying to kill me with his abrupt starts and stops) out to the UW where I sit in a large room with 30+ other young-ish people from 6-9p.m., learning about something I already do ::sigh:: The plus side is that since I'm already in the profession my stress level is way low (which for normal people is probably high, but on the Elise-radar its barely a nag), so that's good. We can ignore the part where I called my mom after my first class in tears because I was so freaked out about how I was going to juggle work, school, boyfriend, friends, family, and travel alike . . . I feel better now that I've gotten my nails done and only gotten lost in the school building twice.

Welcome to my life
Blogging will go down and coffee intake will go up!
Also- I might get fat because I can't get my ass outta bed at 6 a.m. on
the days I have school to go running- it's just too hard.

Freak Out

Friends- This is a very good description of what the past 2 weeks have been like for me:

Stay Tuned for Real Updates

PS: My Paralegal Cert teacher last night said something that struck me as both funny and oh-so-true, he said: "If you do not organize your life . . . YOU. WILL. DIE." I have almost died multiple times this week, but thank God for my organizational skillzzzzzzz! And coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.

I Love You So Much (teaser)

Friends- I have been swamped with work and play! Last Friday thru Monday was spent in Austin, TX for a dear college friend's wedding. It was a BLAST, however I came back to the office with a slew of work to catch up on. Not only that, I have become a student again and my Paralegal Certification class out at the University of Washington started on Tuesday. Needless to say, I have already gone through my fair share of anxiety attacks and tears. I'm working through it though and thanking the Lord it's Friday! I intend to have a more in-depth post later on, however I thought you'd enjoy some teasers from our trip to Austin!

Our 9 a.m. wake-up call from Mr. Dudley,
