Good God, have you seeeeeen enough pictures of me in this outfit?! Sorry for the photo overload, but they were all good enough to post. This outfit is either a train wreck or it works. I go back and forth on what I think of it. Love it or hate it, I'm going to be wearing it all day because I have to go speak at the current UW Paralegal Program tonight. I am to grace the current students with my infinite wisdom of the legal world (HA.) and how the program helped me (which it didn't really . . . however I believe the certification will pay off eventually). Our former teacher treats the speakers (read: me) to free drinks and dinner afterward which, let's be honest, is the reason I'm going in the first place.

Special shout-out to my dear friend Q, who I got to see for 3 whole hours last night on her whirlwind trip to the Emerald City:
Aside from the red-eye situation, we look damn cute and happy :)

A Cargo Moment

Tee: TART {old, via Nordstrom Rack}; Cargo Pants: Banana Republic {old};
Blazer: NastyGal; Shoes: Christian Louboutin; Bangles: Alexis Bittar, gifted, thrifted; Bag: LV;
Necklaces: Florence, Italy + Stella and Dot; Glasses: Ray-Ban Wayfarers;
 Lips: Ruby Woo by MAC

Remember cargo pants? I really only ever think of them as being worn by boys and in shorts form; paired with open flannels and skateboards in the 90s. However, these puppies have been treating me well since 2004. They are actually floor-length, but they have these ties on the end so I end up making them cropped- which makes them look a million times better. Happy Humpty Hump Day!

P.S. Special shout-out to my newest sponsor, Stella and Dot! I'm so happy to be working with these fine people :) Shop by selecting the banner to your right!

Stripes + Leopard

Top: Forever 21 {old}; Cords: J. Crew {on sale!}; Vest: Banana Republic;
Flats: Me Too {via Nordstrom Rack, similar here}; Earrings: Kate Spade;
Bangles: J. Crew Factory {similar here}, Kate Spade, Alexis Bittar, gifted

Some of the elements in this outfit were Pinterest-inspired. I almost cringed at the fact that I was pairing patent black bows with navy stripes. But then I thought, "who the hell cares?! It looks cute and I have a girly doctor's appointment at 8 a.m. anyway." Boowhore. Behind that door there is my soundly-sleeping boyfriend who is unemployed today because he left his old job yesterday and his new one starts tomorrow. So freebie for him and sad day for me. I hope he remembered to make my bed . . . he probably didn't.

Crisp Coral

Sweater: Old Navy {sold out}; Blouse: Old Navy; Skirt: J. Crew;
Boots: Miz Mooz {old}; Headband: Tasha {gifted via Nordstrom};
Bangles: Kate Spade, Ocean Leather, gifted

It's Monday and I don't have anything coherent to say so I'll just give you some ramblings of things running through my brain: I need to join Twitter. I don't understand what the new app "vine" is even though a ton of bloggers that I follow on IG posted pics of them having it. Do I have to get the "vine" app? Because I don't really want to. N and I saw 'Django Unchained' yesterday. It was both fantastic and heartbreaking. Epic acting and brought realness to the very scary truth that slavery ever existed. I ate a slice of pizza on Saturday and it made my heart so happy. Since going Whole30/Paleo I think I miss good pizza the most. And cream cheese. OMG. cream cheese. The fresh flowers in my office are still as fresh as ever since I bought them last Thursday. No petals have fallen off. WIN! Mondays are stupid. I just ate a teeny tiny piece of dark chocolate. the end.

Double Debut

Blouse: Gap {sold out, similar here}; Sweater: Banana Republic {old};
Trench: Gap {old, similar here}; Denim: Hudson; Booties: Vince Camuto;
Scarf: Old Navy {thrifted}; Glasses: Ray-Ban Wayfarers

Double the plaid and bring out the hipster alert! I purchased new glasses last week and they finally arrived. I could not be more excited to sport them, however they're taking some getting used to since they're such a different look from my other, smaller, more rectangular frames that I normally sport. Cheers to debuting a new look! Happy Fri Fri!

Popular Print Play

Top: Forever 21 {old}; Minnie Pant: J. Crew; Jacket: Old Navy {sold out};
Scarf: Old Navy {thrifted}; Shoes: Enzo Angiolini {old}; Aviators: Ray-Ban;
Bangles: Alexis Bittar, thrifted

Stripes, plaid, and leopard are all on trend at the moment, so why not mix them all together?! It makes for a pretty fun and fab outfit ;) Happy Thursday! Oh . . . and Happy National Gonzaga Day! GO ZAGS!

Major Mix

Blouse: J. Crew {old}; Tank: J. Crew {sold out, similar here}; Jacket: American Eagle;
Denim: 7 For All Mankind; Shoes: Dolce Vita {old};  Earrings: J. Crew;
Bangles: Ocean Leather, Alexis Bittar, gifted

I have never layered a tank over a blouse in my life. Because I think it looks stupid. However, I can get behind covering the awkwardness with a cropped jacket- I think it makes the outfit come together quite nicely. In addition, I have partnered with the lovely ladies of Modocat to provide all PGG readers with up to 60% off their merchandise! Apologies for my absence yesterday. I had an unexpected mini-emergency that I had to take care of. However, I'm back now and looking forward to my long weekend! Do you have any plans? N and I have his company "Christmas" party on Saturday night and we're headed to a friend's new home on Sunday for a lovely lunch. Styling Your Sorels Series: Part I

Seahawk Jacket: Pro Shop Seattle; 12th Man Jersey: Pro Shop Seattle;
Head Warmer: Anthropologie {gifted}; Seahawk Scarf: Pro Shop Seattle {gifted};
Wunder Unders: Lululemon; Boots: Sorel {on sale!};
Bangles: J. Crew Factory {old}, Alexis Bittar {gifted}

I was inspired by an IG follower recently to compile this post. She saw that I had just received my first pair of Sorels and asked for more pictures on how to style them. As a result, I thought it'd be fun to turn this request into an epic blog post series! What you see above is how I styled them the first time I wore them a few weeks ago . . . when my Hawks were still in the running for the playoffs :(

Style #1: Wear them with lululemon wunder unders to an NFL game!

The Classics

Tee: Tart {old, via Nordstrom Rack}; Skirt: Express {old}; Tights: Banana Republic;
Boots: Miz Mooz {old}; Jacket: Burberry {old, via Italy}; Belt: Francesca's;
Aviators: Ray-Ban; Bangles: Thrifted, Alexis Bittar

Please excuse the demon eyes happening in some of the above photos. I really need to start committing to using my fancy Canon, but with me always running late and having to take my photos myself, my phone is really my easiest option. I apologize.

The above outfit is comprised of class pieces that every girl should own due to their extreme versatility. Any type of light, cropped jacket, a studded belt, black pencil skirt, and tissue tee will make a great outfit when combined, but lending the items to other outfits as well further provides a win win (win) for everyone. Happy Tuesday!

Five Favorites

Lululemon Wunder Under Pant *Brushed At $92
- Three words: I. Am. Addicted. Go buy a pair. Seriously -

Sorel Women's Tivoli Boot (on sale!) At $89.90
- This was my first pair of Sorels and I already can't believe how
much I love them. They go with everything and are super comfy!
Buy here. -

'Tufted Spots' Pouf At $78
- Since I don't have a dining room table in my apartment, my coffee table
often serves as the place to sit for meals. I have long been in the market
for some seating options for around the coffee table that won't break the bank.
I am certainly considering these ones as an option! -

"E is for . . ." Art Print At $20
- Forever a fan of initial pieces, this shop provides the
perfect accessory to that office space or blank apartment wall.

Halogen 'Lindy' Oxford At $99.95
- This might be the perfect shoe to greet the spring with.
I love the variety of color and can't wait to get my hands on a pair!
Just picture them with crisp, cuffed white pants and
a gingham shirt . . . swoon worthy! -
